Privacy policy
In short: we only collect what you type into our demo or quote form, plus how you found us. We use it to contact you about MuloCart equipment. We don't sell it, we don't add you to marketing lists, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
1. Who we are
This website is run by MuloCart ("we", "us").
We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
Contact us about privacy on +44 7761 766721.
2. What we collect
When you request a demo or quote
- Your name, company name, mobile number, work email address and postcode
- What you move, how many units you need, and whether you want a demo at your premises
How you found us
If you arrive from an advert or a tracked link, the form also records the campaign tags in the web address (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term) and the advert click identifiers from Google Ads (gclid) or Microsoft Advertising (msclkid). It also records which version of the page you saw.
When you call or message us
Your phone number, name and anything you tell us about your enquiry, kept in our call log and email.
Technical data
Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to serve the site and keep it secure. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address (see section 5).
We don't knowingly collect special category data, and our equipment and website are for business buyers, not children.
3. How we use it, and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Calling or emailing you to arrange the demo or quote you asked for | Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries |
| Supplying, delivering, training on, servicing and invoicing equipment you buy or hire | Performance of a contract |
| Working out which adverts and pages bring enquiries (using the campaign tags and click identifiers) | Legitimate interest in measuring and improving our advertising |
| Keeping accounting and tax records | Legal obligation |
| Keeping the website secure and preventing spam | Legitimate interest |
We don't use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we don't send marketing emails without your consent.
4. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to a sale or hire: 24 months from our last contact, then deleted.
- Customer and hire records: 6 years after the end of the financial year in which the contract ends, to meet tax and legal requirements.
- Server and security logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, usually days.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under contract:
- Vercel Inc.: website hosting and the server function that receives the form.
- Resend: delivers each form submission to our inbox by email.
- Our email provider: stores the enquiry emails we receive and send.
- Google: Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site and receives your IP address when it does.
- Delivery and courier companies: your name, address and phone number, when we deliver equipment.
- Our accountants, insurers and professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.
6. International transfers
Some of these providers, including Vercel, Resend and Google, are based in the United States or may process data there. Where that happens, we rely on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, to protect your data.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it, including use based on our legitimate interests;
- ask us to transfer data you gave us to another organisation (data portability).
To use any of these rights, contact us on +44 7761 766721. We'll respond within one month. There's no charge in most cases.
8. Security
The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Form submissions go straight to our inbox and aren't stored in a website database. Access to our email and records is limited to the people who need it to deal with your enquiry or order.
9. Cookies
See our cookie policy. In short, this website doesn't currently set any cookies.
10. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
11. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if we change how we use personal data, for example if we add website analytics. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
